This guide from NEA’s Office of General Counsel provides educators with comprehensive guidance on what is and is not protected advocacy for their students and schools including guidance on inclusive education practices, student walkouts and protecting themselves from online harassment.

Leadership Development. Our National Union, the National Education Association (NEA) defines leadership through the Leadership Competency Framework. The framework is based on a belief that ALL educators are leaders. Educators need a unique set of leadership competencies to lead in their Associations and professions. Leadership is a journey, not an episodic event.
